The Forge

Imagine walking barefoot through the forest on the Winter Solstice. As you walk, fallen leaves crunch beneath you and the trees grow older. Full of memories and mystery. Something glints at the corner of your eye and you are drawn towards a towering oak. Half buried in snow, you find a wooden treasure chest. Inside are jewels worn by hands long forgotten. Hands that lived in the stories you've dreamt of living.
This is the feeling we forge into every piece that leaves our studio.

Carving
Every piece begins as a vision - a simple sketch on a napkin, a doodle in the margins of a book, a flash of an idea. We carve yours by hand from jewelers wax - refining and removing everything that doesn't belong. Sometimes we work from found objects: a shell pulled from the sea, a fragment pressed into clay. What emerges is uniquely your own.

The Mold
This is the ancient part: where the carving is pressed into a mold. Sand casting has been practiced for over 3,000 years; not much has changed in that time. This is where most people would have their designs mass-produced, but we would rather make ten pieces that matter than 1,000 that don't.
If you've sent us something sentimental (ashes, sand from a place that holds a special place in your heart), it enters the mold here. Pressed into the walls, waiting to become a part of your piece forever.

The Pour
Recycled sterling silver is carefully placed in the crucible. The metal climbs in temperature until it's ready to be poured. There is only one chance to get this right or it's back to the beginning. As the molten metal is poured into the mold, it finds every crevice and fills the empty space becoming the piece you will cherish.

Finishing Touches
What emerges from the mold is raw and unrefined, but there is beauty within the rough. Hours of work follow: filing, sanding, polishing, stone setting. Nothing leaves this studio without being examined by the hands that brought it to life.
